Chioco Design | Austin, Texas
2023 - present | Project Designer
At Chioco Design, I assist with both support and management tasks depending on project needs. I led design efforts for Kick Pleat and am currently leading design for Kick Pleat HQ. I particularly enjoyed designing the point of sale and various furniture pieces for Kick Pleat. I offer drawing assistance for Newning Residence and provide some design suggestions. I lead coordination efforts and client presentations for The Row and delegate tasks to the team. When client’s approach our team with feasibility studies, I analyze complex site and building conditions and provide in-depth reports for how to best approach their potential projects. I also created an interactive feasibility template for the office to help others.
Beyond project-based tasks, I am part of Chioco’s technical strategy team, where several of us refine Chioco’s Revit template with improved standards, details, and families. I also created an internal office website which includes databases of our consultants, contractors, fabricators, and product reps. It houses project presentations and includes a section of helpful links and resources for navigating the ever-changing Austin building code.
